Feeling Kinda Quizzy

What accessories do you wear everyday? I don't have any-- but I do have things I wear a few days a week-- my white gold hoops or my diamond "j-hooks", my monogrammed bracelet or my prayer box bracelet, chinese "love" necklace if I'm not wearing a coordingation necklace

What is your beauty routine? Shower, dress, dry hair, makeup, brush teeth

What was the last item of clothing you bought? new panties! and a new pair of jeans (in a smaller size, PTL!)

Do you use a dresser, closet, or both? both-- hopefully getting a new dresser soon!

What earring are you weaing? WEIRDLY enough, none- I wore coordinating pink yesterday and never put my "everyday" back in. Don't tell my mom- she would be upset that I went out w/out earrings in!

What type of figure do you have? I am 5'4"- and curvy

Do you wear glasses? sun? yes!

What type of handbag do you carry? depends- I try to change it up every few weeks- right now I'm kicking a monogrammed backpack. I'm about to switch to an ADORABLE Spring bag!

What is your ideal style? Classic, preppy, clean cut

What jewelry are you wearing right now? new bangle from Francesca's (aDORable!) and my China necklace

Do you wear knee-hi stockings? not unless it's REALLY cold- I'll just do trouser socks if I need some foot protection!

Do you have to wear matching lingerie? not at all

Do you wear makeup? this is the south. I was raised here. By my Southern mother. So, YES. Always. Unless I have the flu.

Do you wear nightgowns? a lof of the time, yes! love them! they make me feel sassy!

What outerwear do you put on when going out on a typical winter's day? my blue wool knee length coat or just a pullover fleece

What is your favorite perfume? Beyond Paradise by Estee Lauder

Is your motto "quality over quantity"? are we discussing men or peanuts? TOTALLY depends on the item!!

Do you wear rain boots? often times! but, only when it's raining-- don't want to be the douche rocking the waterPROOF boots in the sun!

Do you wear socks or slippers when your feet get cold? If i'm REALLY cold, I'll grab some socks. Otherwise, not so much

Do you have a set of travel luggage? Got my Vera stuff- and I have a set of red rolling suitcases- LOVE it!

What is your daily uniform? work is khakis and cuteness. lots of dresses and skirts, especially when it's warm! weekends is more of the same with more jeans than khakis!

If you are married, did you wear a veil with your wedding dress? Not married, but if I weat one, it will NOT be over my face- I cannot handle that!

Do you wear a watch? I like to. I feel lost without it!.

What item of clothing always makes you feel extremely beautiful? A dress that I know I look good in w/ heels. Heels make me feel hot no matter what!

What is your favorite type of yarn? people have favorite yarns?? weird.

1. I am deathly allergic to a LOT of things. Especially cats. Hence forth, I HATE cats. With all that I am. I don't want to break for them when I see them in the road. But, I do. Because I think people would judge me. Or it would hurt baby Jetta.

2. I can drive a stick. And did for a long time. I wish I still did. Should have kept it up. But I sold out. Sometimes hate it.

3. I swam competitivly for years, but was forced to quit because of my lungs having a reaction to the chlorine in the air. I miss it SO often. It was so good for my body.

4. I have a gift called "Ring-dar". I know within seconds of meeting a man whether or not he's wearing a wedding ring. I usually notice with women too- just takes a minute longer.

5. My dream job would be to be a professional Christian speaker. And travel around and speak to women, students, and whomever else. I feel like God has given me an incredible ability to communicate clearly. I have friends who have told me that I need to pursue it, but I wouldn't even know how to start.

6. I have inflamed knee caps. The only thing to fix it is knee replacement. Neat.

7. I hate sports bras. I don't feel like they work. I own 2 or 3, but only wear them about once every two months or so.

8. I have blonde hair. It's mostly natural-- it gets super blonde in the summer, and then looks a little dark in the winter so I highlight it (at home, by my mom, through a cap). And when people tell me I should color my hair dark, I am little annoyed. Because. I. Will. Never. Be. A. Brunette. Ever.

9. I have celebrity crushes. And actually think and plan through what it would be like if I were to meet, date, marry, or whatev them. Only a little embarassed. :)

10. I have a lazy eye. It's not bad, but it does show up when I'm tired or sick. I've thought about having corective surgery, but too many risks-- so who cares :)

a reading weekend

All I've done this weekend is read. Two of my favorite authors, too!!

First-- I read Denise Hildreth's newest book, "Will of Wisteria"-- amazing. She's AWESOME! I actually got to meet her this week! My church read her book, "Flies on the Butter", and had a book club for it on Tuesday night. BUT- she came and spoke- but EVEN BETER! I got to sit next to her and talk to her the whole night. So super!!!

She wrote the "Savannah From Savannah" series-- so amazing. LOVE them. Chick books- but without being sketchy. She writes great characters in real southern settings. Amazing.

Second- I read a new Meg Cabot book. LOVE her. New book is phenom! Check it out!

Nothing else to report since I just read books all weekend.

Except that I went to WalMart tonight. And smelled my favorite smell on earth. it's a body splash made by Calgon- called Hawaiian Ginger. It's the most comforting smell to me on earth. I can smell it right now- and it makes me smile. Anyone who knew me in college would know me by this smell. Love it.

13 Going on 30

Sorry for all the 30 talk lately--- but I watched "13 Going on 30" again today for the first time in a while.
What a GREAT movie!! I love it!
Love when the mom says that she wouldn't go back and change any of her mistakes because she wouldn't have learned how to make things right.
Love that.

And how true is it? When we truly learn from mistakes, then we learn how to make things right in the future. Only God can repair those broken bridges and hearts- and when we truly Him allow Him to have control over our mistakes, then we can let Him make it right.

I think it's time I let him.

27 is the new 30?

um, a student called me 30 today. kill me.

not that 30 is bad. I'll be fine when I get there. But I am, in fact, NOT THIRTY.

i hate to get so upset. but it really freaked me out.

and then one of my students said, "well, if you round, you are..."

and i said "shut your filthy mouth".

sad times.

Walking Wisely

So, I went on a retreat this weekend called Walking Wisely. My church has been doing it for about 8 years now, and I've been on most of them. But, this year was incredible.
Stuart Hall (from NorthPointCC) came a spoke- he's incredible- and hilarious. And he loves Alabama, so you know I love him!
James David Carter came and led w/ our normal band (Clark, Salina, Ben, Fish, and Evan)-- incredible.
I'm gonna post pics asap.

But, there was a song we sang all weekend-- and it was INCREDIBLE.

nothing I can say- a total eclipse of the moon

So, I watched the lunar eclipse last night-- pretty cool. Gonna be honest.
However, the clouds got ALL up in the way for a long time, but I got to see it for a little bit.
Pretty cool! I am a lucky girl-- because there won't be one for a few more years. Lucky me!

Well, I'm about to go do some laundry because I'm going out of town this weekend and at this point, I will have to wear the same shirt all weekend. And my crush is gonna be there. So, I need to look cuter than the same shirt every day. He loves me. Probably. I'll let you know.
